Lehmann Film Productions' founder, Aaron Lehmann, worked as a Producer/Editor for the online digital knowledge forum, Big Think from 2015 – 2017 and as freelance interviewer/editor [November 2019 - February 2020]. Big Think features interviews, multimedia presentations, and roundtable discussions with speakers from a wide range of fields. An example from 2016 featuring philosopher/researcher Slavoj Žižek, can be viewed below.

Aaron was a member of the Playwright and Director's Unit of The Actors Studio from 2004 –2014. As a member he documented "A Tribute to Elia Kazan", "An Evening with Austin Pendelton", and "Jack Garfein:  On The Art of Acting" for their archive collection.  He was also a camera operator for Avram Ludwig's documentation of an evening of fundraising with Al Pacino and Ellen Burstyn.

He was introduced to The Actors Studio by his artistic mentor, photographer and director, Tom Palumbo (1921 - 2008) and his wife Patricia Bosworth,(1933 - 2020) a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, an award-winning journalist and bestselling biographer and memoirist. Aaron has also worked as a Production Specialist at Stony Brook University, where he provided advanced technical and creative support in the following areas: producer, director, technical director, lighting design, Electronic News Gathering/Electronic Field Production, sound/music recording, video/audio editing and graphics design.

Aaron attained an MFA in film directing from Stony Brook University|Killer Films' graduate program in 2017.  Previously, he earned a BFA in film production and screenwriting at the School of Visual Arts.  He studied at Bard College from 1997 – 1999.

Aaron was awarded with a Certificate of Recognition from the Town of Hempstead, NY for the short documentary "Dr. Dorthy Height: Wisdom and Ways to Care", which highlights Dr. Dorthy Height's life work and is a tribute to her legacy of caring and social, humanitarian and political activism.

He won the SBU-TV Choice Award for a short documentary webisode about the difficulties of engaging in a meaningful relationship while struggling with the exacerbation of PTSD symptoms; featuring Iraq War Veteran Michael Day.

In June 2018, Aaron worked with Patton Veteran's Project at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center as a filmmaking instructor.  "I Was There" workshops consists of intensive four, half-day classes, where the students conceptualize and produce their own films. 
 
Aaron received a Certificate of Appreciation from The Hope Children's Fund for the production of the short documentary "Children of Kenya", which tells the story of The Hope Children's Home, where 57 street children continue to grow and prosper despite the political strife and economic upheaval in Kenya.
